 Spot Spot

Spot is that most unusual of creatures: a discriminating frog. After living under the stars all his life, he decides to live under a roof. Spot is curious, exuberant and helpful, but sometimes he doesn't see things for what they really are. For him, a sink full of dirty dishes is a pond to splash in, and a lamp is something to bask under.
Karl %(CastName)

Karl is a laid-back guy. He goes with the flow, even when the flow is a frog at the door with a suitcase. He looks out for Spot in a grandfatherly way. Karl is thoughtful and accepting. You'd have to be to welcome a frog into your home.
 Buddy Buddy

Buddy is Spot's best friend and the ultimate Frog of the Wild. He wears glasses and enjoys "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," but he won't live inside a house. And though Buddy isn't completely at ease outdoors - he can't swim, for example - he's the bridge that connects the domesticated Spot to his outdoor roots. He helps Spot keep in touch with his wild side.
Bob %(CastName)

Slow, with deep thoughts - if you can stay awake to hear them.
 Kay Kay

Karl's daughter, who runs the bookstore that Karl used to own. She's not a fan of frogs. She still suffers flashbacks of a high school biology class with frogs and scalpels that went horribly wrong, and having Spot around makes her feel guilty. She hides the guilt with irascibility, which is easy, as she's not eager to spend time with something that eats flies. For her, Spot is a pet, not a person.
Lumpy %(CastName)

A grumpy poet - the toad with the ode. He distrusts Karl and humans in general, and he's not really sure what he thinks about Spot. Like all toads, being sour is a survival mechanism. He doesn't like it, but it beats the alternative.
 Winslow Winslow

Kay's husband. Like Spot, he's a little guy in a big world. He just doesn't understand why Spot is so happy about it.
